Production Resources

We bring access to an extensive collection of state of the art location equipment including broadcast grade high resolution digital video with time code interlocked multi-track pure digital audio, European and domestic condensor microphones. SD Post production services include use of our DPS VelocityQ editing platform with Digital Fusion compositing and HD or SD VEGAS multitrack audio editing with Mackie Control Universal.

 

Media Formats

CMA supports and uses multiple audio and video formats, providing high resolution digital video content origination and the capability to convert many legacy tape formats. HD Video production format capabilities include HDV. SD Video production format capabilities include D-9 (50mbps) and mini-DV (25mbps) digital video; D2 (composite digital); BetacamSP, S-VHS, VHS (International and domestic); Hi-8; UmaticSP and 1 inch Type C. Audio formats include TDIF (Tascam); DAT; Cassette and 1/4 inch Reel to Reel (Ampex with Dolby SR). Optical formats include CD and DVD (Dual Layer) mastering with limited disc replication facilities, including indelible thermal disc surface printing; CD and DVD insert development, design and replication.

On-Location Sound and Video Recording

CMA can provide multiple camera on-location digital video recording in HDV, D-9 and DV formats incorporating timecode locked 8 track TDIF digital sound recording, including Dolby Digital AC-3 5.1 surround support for live events. Our collection of European and domestic condensor microphones is superb!
